Hi, I’m Dayna.
I’m a licensed esthetician and owner of Golden Hour Skin.
I opened Golden Hour to create a waxing studio built around two things I care deeply about: excellent technique and genuinely inclusive care. You deserve both.
When I say I wax every body, I mean it. Your anatomy, gender identity, or presentation does not determine which services are available to you here. I’m experienced in waxing all types of anatomy. Golden Hour is proudly LGBTQ+ affirming, size-inclusive, and neurodivergent-friendly, and you never need to look, dress, identify, communicate, or exist a certain way to be welcome here.
My approach to waxing is equal parts precision and practicality. I use techniques designed to reduce discomfort while getting the job done thoroughly, and I want you to know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. Whether you’ve been waxing for years, have complicated feelings about body hair, are navigating changes in your body or identity, or have never let another human being anywhere near your bits with hot wax, you’re welcome here. No judgement. No weirdness. Just really good waxing.
I grew up in Wisconsin and attended Milwaukee Area Technical College for esthetics. I hold current licenses in both Wisconsin and Arizona. I moved to Tucson in 2021 to pursue my career and spent several years working as an esthetician before opening Golden Hour Skin and venturing out on my own.
When I’m not waxing or gleefully extracting an especially satisfying ingrown hair, I’m usually watching stand-up comedy or true crime, playing bar trivia, going to live music, hiking, swimming, doing yoga, wandering around Reid Park Zoo or the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, or spending time with my orange cat, Goose.
